This is a very good and special cello and I will explain why.
I finished working in GRISALES's workshop to became a self
employed violinmaker in 2003.I've chosen very old wood to
start the first instrument (a cello) for my new shop, which
I've opened in the spring of 2004's. The wood chosen was the
oldest wood I've purchased in Cremona on 1996. I think the
material was at least 5 year old, so the wood is now more
than 20 year old.I almost finished the cello on 2003. The
wood gained also in stability and became old in a better way
because the thicknesses were finished, so the natural oxidation
and aereation reached the finished part of the wood. That
means: the last 7 years were more significant.
In 2004 I came to japan, so the cello was sleeping waiting
for me untill 2009. Only the bassbar and the neck was finished
in 2009, and of course the oil varnish (the better for a good
sound) and set up. The sound is powerfully rich and very easy
to play. The instrument is dedicated to my school's master
Giorgio Ce as you can also read in the certificate of authenticity.

このチェロの品質はとても良く特別なチェロです。なぜ
そうかご説明します。
2003年にGiorgio Grisales工房から独立し自身の工房を
開きました。まず、2004年の春に新しい工房にて最初のチ
ェロを製作する上でとても古い材を選択しました。この材は
1996年に私がクレモナで購入した材の中で最も古い物でし
た。この材はその当時少なくても5年経っていたものです
ので、今では20年経過していることになります。
2003年中にはほぼ完成していました。木目も安定し厚みも
決まっていたので良い方法で年月を重ね、木材の隅々まで
自然な酸化と通気がなされました。従って、直近の7年は意
味のあるものとなりました。
2004年に来日。このチェロは工房で2009年まで保管され
ていましたので、バスバーとネックのみ2009年に製作され
ました。もちろん、良い音質となるオイル塗装とセットア
ップもその際に施しました。豊かな音質と演奏性が得られ
ております。鑑定書にも記載していますが、この楽器は
師でGiorgio Ce氏へ捧げるものです。
